Fillmore, California. Fillmore, California was incorporated in 1914. Warmed by inland sun, protected by the sheltering mountains and cooled by coastal breezes, the area supports a fertile agricultural economy centered on growing, packing and shipping of various citrus fruits and avocados.

One of the most popular tourist destinations is the Fillmore and Western Train. The train is often referred to as, "the movie train" for its many appearances in film. Passenger rides are available on the historical train. Also available are special event and dinner train rides. The scenic route runs through the river valley past the groves of citrus fruits and small farms.

Fillmore is the home of the Rail Festival, held annually in March and the Orange Festival, held annually in May. The Fourth of July Car Show adds much excitement and community spirit to the Fourth of July. The Winter Festival, held annually in December, offers a real down-home Christmas complete with floats and artificial snow. It is one event that is sure to welcome the holidays to Southern California.
